Western Kentucky University student activists are pushing an initiative to exclude all tuition costs to black students as a form of reparation for slavery. On Tuesday, the student government voted in favor of a resolution promoting the recognition of slavery as a “debt that will never be paid.” This includes offering free tuition to black students as compensation for past sins.
